| Job Description | A construction worker's job is to complete construction projects efficiently and on time. Their duties include: Preparing the site: Cleaning and removing debris and hazards Loading and unloading: Moving building materials and equipment Building and dismantling: Constructing or taking apart scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures Digging and compacting: Digging trenches, backfilling holes, and compacting earth Operating equipment: Using power tools and heavy machinery like jackhammers, saws, drills, bulldozers, cranes, and excavators Following instructions: Following construction plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors and coworkers Assisting tradespeople: Helping electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other skilled tradespeople Controlling the site: Putting up barriers and signs, directing traffic, and regulating traffic Ensuring safety: Adhering to safety and health protocols and reporting issues to the site supervisor | ||
