Job Description	A mason is a construction worker who builds structures using various materials, such as concrete, stone, brick, and concrete blocks. Their responsibilities include: Reading blueprints: Masons use blueprints and drawings to calculate the materials needed for a project. Laying out patterns: Masons lay out patterns, forms, and foundations based on the plans. Cutting materials: Masons cut or break materials to the required size. Mixing mortar: Masons mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a foundation or slab. Constructing walls: Masons construct masonry walls. Cleaning and polishing: Masons clean and polish surfaces using handtools or power tools. Filling expansion joints: Masons fill expansion joints with caulking materials. Installing water systems: Masons lay out and install rainscreen water systems.
